Crossfire had the privilege of collaborating with 350.org, the organizers of New York City’s Climate Strike, on their 2019 protest in Battery Park. The New York City leg of the global strike featured a speech by Greta Thunberg and musical performances by Jaden and Willow Smith.

Organizers secured a permit, estimating around 5,000 people would attend. By mid-afternoon, over 60,000 people were present according to Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office. We bridged the gap between the speakers and performers and the 60,000+ audience by providing full production including audio, video, mobile staging, power distribution, and logistical support.

We also coordinated with NYC Fire, Police, and Parks departments to ensure all operating permits were secured for a safe and successful event. We are proud to have been a part of such an impactful and peaceful event where New Yorkers could make their voices heard in the fight against climate change.
